Job from partnerWe are based in Hobart, Tasmania and specialise in the design and manufacture of marine anchoring and mooring equipment, including windlasses, winches, capstans and associated fabricated assemblies.
Full time positions are currently available within the company for experienced Mechanical Draftspersons.
Required:
·Skilled in advanced mechanical drafting and 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor
·Preparation of detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models for marine mechanical equipment
·Experience with hydraulic drive train systems and mechanical winching systems
·Production of fabrication, assembly, and general arrangement drawings
·Application of geometric tolerancing, welding symbols, surface finishes, and material specifications
·Creation of customer quotation and approval drawings
·Review and implementation of engineering change requests
·Maintenance of drawing control systems in accordance with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
·Creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BoM) within SAP B1 or similar ERP systems
·Liaison with Engineering, Production, and Sales teams to ensure manufacturability and cost‑effective design outcomes
·Support of R&D activities, prototypes, product improvement, and validation testing
·Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company confidentiality policies
·German or Dutch language skills desirable
Annual income
Annual income excluding superannuation range $75,000 – $85,000 per annum, commensurate with industry rates, skills and experience.
